‘I would love to live in a Matisse painting – a pastiche of colour, pattern, plants and bright flowers,’ interior designer and Hong Kong artist Greer Howland Smith tells The Style Sheet. We think she’s already succeeded.
Located in Hong Kong’s Southside, the home Greer shares with her husband and two children is an invigorating artist’s oasis. Perfectly balancing quirky and classic details, the space mixes functional pieces with plenty of treasures from her travels. ‘I go to fabric markets while I’m travelling and bring fabric back to be made into furniture, curtains and soft furnishings,’ she tells us. The inviting space is punctuated with vivid splashes of her own whimsical artwork along with one-of-a-kind original works.
