Pacific Place and Starstreet Precinct are transforming into an inspiring and fantastical new landscape for Arts Month from 20 March to 6 April. Featuring the debut of Lanternfly Ballet, a dynamic art installation by Zurich-based artist Monster Chetwynd, and the empowering sculptures of Beauty and Gesture (La Beauté et le Geste) by French contemporary artist Laurent Perbos, these works celebrate Hong Kong’s vibrant international art scene and diverse array of cultural experiences.
Immerse Yourself in a Fantastical World of Lanternflies at Pacific Place
For the third consecutive year, Pacific Place is hosting the only offsite project of Art Basel Hong Kong’s Encounters – with a site-specific installation. Monster Chetwynd’s Lanternfly Ballet pays homage to Hong Kong’s lantern bug and woodlands, as well as the city’s rich biodiversity. It transforms Park Court into a fantastical ecosystem, blending live performances with a dynamic, nature-themed sculpture.
