Butter Pecan Mille Crêpes and Checkers Cake by Lady M Pacific Place

Lady M

Perfect for: A special cake for a special occasion

One of the most celebrated patisseries in New York, Lady M is synonymous with sophisticated cakes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious, making them perfect for pre-ordering and picking up when you have an important birthday, baby shower or other celebration in the calendar. The signature style is the Mille Crêpes cake, which comes in a variety of flavours. For us, the Butter Pecan Mille Crêpes stands out: this masterpiece is made of 20 alternating layers of handmade crêpes and buttery pecan-infused pastry cream folded with toasty pecan praline, which is topped with American roasted pecans and finished with a swirl of pecan pastry cream. Another must-try is the Checkers Cake, which combines vanilla and chocolate sponge cake in a photo-worthy checkerboard pattern. The lightest fresh whipped cream comes tucked between the squares, with the finished treat coated in a silky dark chocolate ganache.

Pistachio Tiramisu and Salted Caramel French Toast, exclusive to Little Cove Pacific Place

Little Cove Espresso

Perfect for: A little something sweet for breakfast

Who says treats are only for afternoon? At the beloved laid-back cafe Little Cove Espresso, which recently opened at Pacific Place, there are plenty of delicious brunch options that favour those with a sweet tooth. Two favourites — both of which are new and exclusive to Little Cove’s Pacific Place location — are the Pistachio Tiramisu, which puts a unique twist on the classic Italian dessert with layers of pistachio-infused mascarpone cream, and the Salted Caramel French Toast. The latter serves up thick slices of brioche drizzled with the perfect amount of salted caramel sauce for just the right balance of sweet and salty.

Durian and Mango in a cup, and Strawberry and Piedmont Hazelnut in a cone from Venchi Pacific Place

Venchi

Perfect for: A refreshing treat to help you cool down

For those who find joy in chocolate, Venchi is a must-visit. This Italian chocolatier and gelateria is famed for its artisanal sweet treats. And while the chocolates are delicious, a refreshing ice cream hits the spot perfectly when the heat and humidity is out in full force. We love the rich, velvety Piedmont Hazelnut paired with refreshing Strawberry, or for a spoonful of summer, we suggest Mango paired with Durian — the latter of which is one of Venchi’s vegan-friendly options. Each ice cream is topped with a chocolate Venchi coin.

Hokkaido Yuzu Cheesecake and Raspberry Opera by Dalloyau Pacific Place

Dalloyau

Perfect for: A mid-afternoon pick-me-up

Dalloyau brings a taste of Paris to Pacific Place. While it’s loved for its coffees and French-inspired contemporary cuisine, its petite cake offerings are also a standout — and they’re perfect for when you need a small but flavourful sweet hit in the afternoon. Two favourites to try are the Hokkaido Yuzu Cheesecake, which combines the creaminess of Hokkaido cream cheese and Madagascar vanilla with the zesty tang of yuzu. Another must is the Raspberry Opera, a classic French layered cake and a signature at Dalloyau. Originally created in 1955 by the great Cyriaque Gavillon, it’s made with Joconde biscuit base, raspberry syrup with kirsch, praline buttercream with roasted almonds, chocolate raspberry ganache and a white chocolate coating. Yum!
