Hong Kong-based artist Jonathan Jay Lee has become known and loved for his vibrant, often kinetic digital work. Inspired by his loved of comics from an early age, he’s now worked with Marvel Comics as well as many international brands.
Now, Pacific Place is excited to have collaborated with Jonathan on a brand-new project that pays homage to the Starstreet Precinct community. While we transform Six Pacific Place, we commissioned Jonathan to create a larger-than-life mural on the building that depicts the Hong Kong of the 1960s.
‘There’s little hints of fashion and things like that if you look carefully in the artwork,’ says Jonathan. ‘I like knowing this idea that I played a little part in changing the landscape of Hong Kong.’
