The Year of the Snake is almost here — and Pacific Place is celebrating in bold, colourful style by teaming up with Hong Kong knot artist Zoe Siu on a series of joyful installations. Entitled Weaving Celebration of Fortunes, the creative project is an eye-catching example of Zoe’s signature knotting technique, weaving together themes of luck, tradition and modern artistry.
In celebration of the vibrant showcase, The Style Sheet sat down with Zoe to learn more about her career, ropework technique and this unique project.
Between 16 January and 16 February, beyond the incredible ropework displays woven by Zoe, you’ll also discover exclusive Lai See packets and lucky charms, captivating performances and the vibrant energy of a Lion Dance Parade. There are also a series of shopping rewards on offer to help kickstart the year in style and, beyond Pacific Place, visitors to Starstreet Precinct can also capture stunning photos under glowing lanterns. Learn more here. Pacific Place above members can also enjoy exclusive workshops with Zoe where they can learn about the special meanings of different knots.
